As a girl with tattoos, well alright only one extremely small and barely visable star, I have seen how the colour of tattoo ink begins to fade after a couple of years. Blacks become inky blues and reds become paling pinks in no time at all, especially if you spend much time in the sun. My tiny weeny star on my foot has been exposed to plenty of sunlight over the last four years and as a result the edges have become blurred and faded.
To my delight I came across this exciting looking product on the blogging circle last week. Tattoo Brite contains a patent pending tattoo anti-ageing complex that contains SPF 20 and promises to restore tattoos to their brightest instantly. The sunscreen is titanium dioxide, which is a white powder – commonly found in cosmetics, sunscreens and foundations.
Just in case you’re interested… Titanium Dioxide is an opacifying agent, which means it is a substance that helps change a cosmetic from clear to cloudy, hence its use as a covering tool in tatto brite. Although it is a substance also used in house paint, plastics and paper products, in these tiny doses it is totally harmless when in contact with your skin.
This product looks cult and girly which is what I love about it and I’m dying to put it to the test on my tat!! Check it out here
